Gisborne crash victim named

Police have released the name of the pedestrian killed in Gisborne on Friday night when she was hit by a car.

She is 33-year-old Kimberly Chaval Phillips, a local resident.

The crash occured at around 11pm on Cobden Street, 16 June.

The driver and passenger from the vehicle have been assisting police with their ongoing enquiries.

Police say offer their sympathies to the friends and whanau of Ms Phillips at this tragic time.
