A 49-year-old man has been arrested over an attack on a miniature horse in Otago.
The man has been charged with cruelty to an animal.
The horse, named Star, had been stabbed about 41 times while tethered to a fence in a paddock in Waitati.
The man will appear at Dunedin District Court tomorrow.
