Fiji police will go on trial for murder in October

A trial date has been set for two police officers in Fiji charged with murder.

Kelepi Kolinisau and Selema Tikoenaburevere will be in court from 14 October.

The two are alleged to have attacked Josua Lalauvaki outside a Suva nightclub in September.

He died at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital after suffering serious injuries.

The two accused have been granted a bail extension by the High Court.

A pre-trial conference is due next month.
